In summer 2020, a long-planned generation change in the management of SIDLER Metallwaren AG will begin: The two previous owners, Peter Sidler and Martin Keller, pass on their position to their sons Mario and Daniel. With a new brand identity, the two new managers want to initiate a sustainable modernisation.

In a one-and-a-half-year transition phase, the owners of SIDLER AG will bid farewell from the beginning 2020 sliding into retirement. The handover to the new management is scheduled to be completed in summer 2020. Then the management of Peter Sidler and Martin Keller, who have been managing SIDLER since the early 1990s, will move to the two new, equal business owners.

Thus, Mario Sidler and Daniel Keller continue the family business in the third generation. The new management board divides up their responsibilities: Keller, who holds a degree in business administration, will be responsible for administration and finances, while Sidler will take over the technical side and sales of the mirror cabinet manufacturer.

Despite the rejuvenation, the two future business owners can look back on a long history within SIDLER AG. Mario Sidler has been with the company for 12 years, of which he spent 9 years building up the business abroad. Daniel Keller has been an active corporate partner since 2015.

With the upheaval, the two new owners also want to reposition the SIDLER brand.

The goal:

To become the household name in Switzerland.

Internal changes mainly concern the efficiency of processes. Assembly optimization through lean management and a new ERP system are two examples of how digitalization is modernizing operations.

In Switzerland, SIDLER wants to become the well-known brand for mirror cabinets among house builders. This is to be achieved by refocusing on its old strengths: Intelligent light architecture in the mirror cabinets. New Products
and special luminaires should show the way.

Despite the changes, SIDLER AG looks ahead with confidence. Production will continue to take place in Romanshorn, an increase in sales and a growing number of jobs are forecast.
